Primary care in Marshall, MI
Caring for people has been the thread running through most of my adult life — first in the U.S. Navy, then as a firefighter and paramedic for seventeen years, and since 2009 as a PA-C in primary care. I've also done medical mission work in Nicaragua and Honduras alongside my wife Kim, a nurse practitioner. That kind of medicine — meeting people where they are, in difficult circumstances — shapes how I try to show up for every patient.
"I feel compelled to be of service. I'm a fixer and a helper. I like it when other people's lives are better."
I practice at Oaklawn Medical Group in Marshall, MI, and I genuinely enjoy the small-town, people-know-each-other feel of the practice. If you're looking for a provider who will take time to listen, I hope you'll consider reaching out.
What I Focus On
- High blood pressure & cardiovascular risk reduction
- Type 2 diabetes
- Depression & anxiety
- Lifestyle change — weight, fitness, and building habits that last
- Substance use & addiction recovery support
I've spent years studying the science of behavioral change, and I find it deeply satisfying to walk alongside patients as they work toward goals that actually matter to them — not just numbers on a chart.
A Personal Note
I'm personally diagnosed with ADHD. That gives me a particular connection with younger patients who are working to figure out how to be the best version of themselves. If you're in that season of life — or know someone who is — I'd welcome the conversation.
